Orman Beckles is known as The Hi-Tech Nomad for a reason — he moves. Around the world, and just as often around the corner. On more occasions than he can count, Orman has shown up on a friend's or colleague's doorstep, miles or oceans from where anyone expected him to be.

Over time he found himself acting like a kind of technical firefighter — the call comes in, the problem is real, and the fix has to happen now. That's where this little experiment started: could Orman share his location with the people who actually need it, in a way that was transparent, useful, and a little bit fun?

It's been surprisingly productive. A fellow technician once spent days stuck on a problem, only to discover Orman was a few blocks away — the kind of coincidence that turns a week-long ticket into a thirty-minute fix. On social nights it shortcuts the eternal "where are you, what club, what neighborhood, are you still out?" loop. One page, one answer.

Of course, Orman has put safeguards in place. Sharing is intentional, time-bound, and controlled by him — not always-on. And it's worth a gentle reminder for everyone reading: if you carry a cell phone, there are already plenty of services, apps, and signals — some you know about, some you don't — quietly telling other people where you are. This page just makes it honest.
